It was our first time staying here, but glad we did! Many folks were decorating for Halloween and the kids had their cute costumes on for trick or treating 😁 Of course Jellystone campgrounds never disappoint when it comes to activities for kids! The sites we chose were toward the back which were nice and quiet at night, which made it relaxing by the fire. We enjoyed our stay!
Great Place! The kids had such a wonderful time, staying in a cabin, having campfire, seeing the bears and all the activities. Jumping pillow, giant chess, splash pad was awesome and even the parents can play on everything 😁 We had just a wonderful experience. My 4 year old had a favorite worker and she was just a delight, she was running around helping with everything and I later found out she was the manager. Over half the staff has called in sick and she just kept going. Thomas was sad that he didn't get to say goodbye to her on Sunday. It was so sweet. We give this place 100% and can't wait to stay again.
The cabin we stayed in seemed quite old. The floor was very very uneven, and seemed warped in the bathroom area. Our lights kept flickering so we didn't use those lights because we were concerned about fire. They sent a very nice maintenance person to look at it.... and he did. But they still flickered so we didn't use the lights or ceiling fan. The employees were very kind and the ranger station and public bathroom facility was the cleanest I've ever seen at a campground.
My family of 7 just spent an entire week here camping for fall break. We made the trip after how highly our neighbors spoke of the place and how much they loved it. The one and only thing I liked about this place was the primitive camping sites are actually in the woods and very nice and they have a trailered bathroom near by that are climate controlled. Overall I would not recommend this place. From what we heard from other campers who were repeat visitors the place has a new owner and a lot of people were complaining about numerous things including bed bugs in the cabins, in my opinion they are more concerned with money than the kids. They had a whole weekend of halloween activities that were suppose to take place. Most of these activities were canceled and there was no Yogi Bear present during the few activities they actually did where there was suppose to be one present. This being due to short staffing we were told. And besides the few free activities everything else cost extra and is quite pricey,
We camped the 2nd weekend of October with our son, daughter-in-law and grandson. They had their own site with their camper. There is so much to do for the kids. No reason for them to ever get bored. Sites are pretty small and close together and it is a bit pricey. Luckily our neighbors were our kids. Staffing must have been an issue because the gift shop/ranger station had very limited hours. There was trick or treating on Saturday night and we loved handing out candy. It was a great trip.
