From Indianapolis: Simply take US 36 West (Rockville Road) to Rockville. Turn Right (North) at US 41 and follow approximately 4 miles to Peaceful Waters Campground on the right. From Terre Haute: Follow US 41 North to Rockville and continue North about 4 miles from the center of town to Peaceful Waters Campground on the right.
I stayed here for a few months over the summer with my family and we loved it. The owners take great care of the property and really take care of their customers. I hope to come back again sometime. Thank you guys!
Our family comes to this area every year and this was the first time we’ve stayed at this camp ground. We rent camp and stayed at primitive site 14 and 15. This is along the pond for easy access to fishing and about 150 feet from the shower house. The shower house is super clean and when it needed ti be serviced we called the number on the door and they were there within 5 minutes to attend to the restrooms and showers. I know the employee said they are building a second shower house towards the back loop. Hope that will be done sooner than later. Also I would recommend better ventilation to the bathrooms. I think this will help with the temperature of the bathrooms since it was quite warm and humid. Our family will be back! Thank you for a memorable weekend.
This weekend was our first time visiting Peaceful Waters, and definitely won't be our last! We tent camped for a music festival there, campsites very clean and the grounds are very well maintained. Showers and restrooms very well kept. Cabins look beautiful from the outside and we'll more than likely stay in one on our next visit. Meeting one of the groundsmen, Bill, and his wife, was one of the highlights of our weekend! Highly recommend visiting here.
We had a site booked and were unable to make it down due to an medical emergency. I communicated this with the staff and they were quick to release the site, but never reimbursed me.
I find it spectacular that the owners reached out confirming my story. A typical empathetic rational human would show sympathy in such a time. I understand not being compensated for the entire stay, however, maybe the days that were confirmed that we will not be an attendance seems fair.
We had an excellent stay here. The place is off the main road enough that road noise was not a big problem. The bathrooms/showers were kept clean , and the owner was helpful and friendly. There’s a pretty little pond, and other campers were quiet and respectful.
