We had a site booked and were unable to make it down due to an medical emergency. I communicated this with the staff and they were quick to release the site, but never reimbursed me.
I find it spectacular that the owners reached out confirming my story. A typical empathetic rational human would show sympathy in such a time. I understand not being compensated for the entire stay, however, maybe the days that were confirmed that we will not be an attendance seems fair.
