The lookout is a really nice walk and place to hangout while camping here. Bathrooms and bath house is well kept. The pool looks really nice but too cold for us to try it out. Campsites are nice and level and lots of tree coverage so you're not baking the whole day.
Wonderful family campground! The staff is very kind and welcoming. The sites are very nice (even though a bit close to one another). The bathrooms/showers were very clean and they provided lots of things for families to do (pool, playground, horse shoes, volleyball, and games to borrow in the store). The outlook is also absolutely beautiful and worth the walk down to! They have lobster bakes for a great price on Saturday which is a great thing for those looking to have a little taste of Maine while they’re visiting. This was our first time taking our two year old camping and we had the very best time! The campground is also in the perfect location. Just a few minutes away from both Camden and Rockland. So lots of options of things to do and restaurants to eat at. We will definitely be back!
If you want seaside Maine camping (not right on the ocean) this place will get you there. Main downsides are the dirt roads and camp sites. Also there were only a few campsites that fit larger RV's. It's a steep walk down and back up from the ocean but the view when you get there is well worth it. There are several chairs and benches to simply kick back and enjoy the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks.
This hidden gem in Maine is just fantastic. I have been many places and have lived abroad but by far in my book and according to my family, this was the best vacation we have had in a very long time if ever. It was very relaxing and not much hustle and bustle which is what we needed. Rachel and Erik took the best care of us. From telling us about the area and convincing us to come there, to helping us make the reservation, making sure our location was good, that we were familiar with the area, where to find the awesome sites and cool history were located in the area. They pointed us to great restaurants and nice quiet places to have great wine with great service. The staff in the office was great too. The welcome we received when entering to check in and all the information we needed was right there and they were pleasant the whole time. This all made our stay so enjoyable that we did not want to leave. Because of Rachel and Erik and we are returning next year and staying longer!! I would never have found this place without Mr. and Mrs. Flanagan but we are very grateful we did. Thank to all the staff at both camp grounds for making our time there great.
Loved this place for its location, it’s landing near the water was gorgeous for sunrises and stargazing. The sites are a little close to each other but everyone was respectful of the quiet hours. Great campground for young families- plenty of things for kids to do around there.
My girls enjoyed riding their bikes around and the playground equipment. The pools
Is nice for the rare days that were warmer than perfect weather.
The bathrooms and shower house was all well maintained and clean.
We really loved this place and will be back!
