We really enjoyed this campground! It’s great for families and affordable. It has a large playground, beach and at low tide there are tide pools. Fresh lobster can be found on Rt 1 near the park.
They have a small clubhouse by the playground/restrooms with games, books, WiFi, electric outlets and tables. During a rainstorm my kids and I hunkered down in there with our dinner. I was able to get some work done on my computer at night thanks to that clubhouse too!
Only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because the bathrooms area six and not the cleanest.
Clean, private, and low stress. I really enjoyed my time staying here for two nights. It’s close enough to Portland for a day trip. 4 stars because they charge you extra for truck camping vs tent camping. It makes absolutely no sense. Also, the generators should be turned off at 6. It got really loud with all of them running.
Beautiful park right on the ocean. It was a little busy during the day, but plenty of room to stretch out. The park was very clean and well maintained with nice walking trails and lots of spots for a good picnic. The campsites are a little open but it still felt private in some sections and it was very quiet at night time. Definitely recommend for either a day trip or camping for the weekend.
