Very clean campground with large sites the only thing is tje resort fee for 10$ a day and the only thing you have to offer is a really small pool and a water pad for little kids . Sun Rv needs to review the campgrounds they are adding that fee to, plus your check in is 2pm rather then 1pm at most places with no resort fee.

Expensive for the location , very busy traffic being behind an industrial park.

Sun Outdoors is a wonderful family friendly campground located in Saco Maine. Minutes from Funtown slash town and Aquaboggin water park. There is so much to do here at the campground our kids never got bored. Beautiful pool and hot tub, along with a basketball court and dirt roads for kids to ride their bikes. At night they played a family movie on a pull down screen at the Merry Moose cafe. Needless to say this place was designed with kids in mind. Our little cabin/tiny house was perfect my wife absolutely loved it. Nothing big or fancy but “fun sized “ we had a shower a bed mini fridge and a bunk bed and a little tv above the table on the wall. Plenty of space for three kids and two adults. Outside our cabin is a charcoal grill, a fire pit, chairs, picnic table and a cute little wooden swing. Need fire wood? A snack? Stuff for s’mores? The friendly folks at the camp store will deliver right to your door! First time here and I’m very pleased and looking forward to a return visit.

Beautiful campground with huge concrete pads, good fire rings or grills, fabulous bath houses and laundry rooms, great amenities. Picturesque campground but location was meh, off route 1 south of Portland with nothing much nearby. Their "dynamic pricing" is a disaster per us and multiple staff members. We reserved nearly a year in advance and way overpaid compared to prices close to our arrival time when campground was maybe 50% full. We had to call multiple times and push hard until we ultimately got a staff member at the location to lower our price close to then market prices.

The good: Friendly staff. I didn’t pay the site lock fee, but got the site I picked; it had a big tree in the middle of it. The guide suggested the site next to it and nicely helped me get backed in and switched my site at the office.

The bad: the cost was over $100 a night for a sparsely graveled site that was barely big enough for my teardrop and 4Runner. The “comfort station” was nasty. Cobwebs on the sides of the inside door, dead bugs on the ceiling and the shower barely drained. Worst I’ve seen, ever!

It was a waste of money.

First time at a Sun Outdoors brand campground and the last; stay elsewhere.

Excellent experience. The campground was not my first choice when I booked our trip, but it was much nicer than I expected and I was very happy we stayed there. It was not as busy feeling as some of the larger RV resorts nearby. The grounds were immaculate, crews were constantly working to keep the park clean. The office staff folks were super friendly. The pool area was beautiful and the food from the Cafe was good. The rules were just right; kept the place in order without being overbearing. Trolley service was a big plus too. The highway is a little loud, sites closer to the office are quieter than out in the back area. Excellent stay that exceed our expectations and we will definitely return.
