This is an amazing garden of plants. Different areas are planted for different settings from forest to alpine Meadows. The price is low and there are many trails to wander on plus a great view towards the Cascades. Very peaceful and calming.
We come at the tail end of the Rhododenrons though some were still blooming in early July. This is the place to get your Rhody's as the variety, health and prices are great.
This was my first visit but I will be visiting more often. They do allow dogs on leashes to walk with you around the gardens but be sure to keep things clean!
The gardens must be beautiful when rhododendrons are blooming, but even without that the place is nice to visit. We really enjoyed our stroll through the grounds
Absolutely beautiful gardens with a huge variety of rhododendrons. The paved path in the gardens takes about 15 minutes to walk through, but there are extensive trails for several kilometres throughout the property. Went on 5/22 which was a perfect time to catch everything in bloom.
We just missed the peak Rhododendron flowering season, but there was still plenty to enjoy in these beautifully laid out and manicured gardens.
If you enjoy visiting gardens then I can guarantee you'll enjoy Meerkerk
Admission fee is $5 per person. Went on 12/27 in winter so there aren’t many flowers. Consider returning in spring!
