30+ people and myself had the pleasure of visiting Kings River Outfitters and it was an amazing experience. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. With our company needing 15+ kayaks they were able to easily handle it all. The scenery along the river was absolutely breathtaking and the water was crystal clear. I highly recommend Kings River Outfitters to anyone looking for a fun and adventurous day out on the water. Four of us rented two canoes for the day. We checked out the place the day before, and asked the proprietor about the status of the river. We wanted to make sure it was going to be a good safe float. The owner told us that river "wasn't too high, wasn't too low". That wasn't exactly true. We floated and fished for 6 hours, several spots were too low for a canoe. The gear was in good shape, and they gave us ice. We weren't expecting to have to move our vehicle to another part of the property, leaving our keys with the vehicle, unattended. But it worked out fine. We saw lots of wildlife and caught plenty of fish(you can get your fishing license online btw). Lots of places to rest, picnic and swim. Great day overall. We would have rented kayaks if we had been better informed regarding the water conditions. So make sure you ask the right questions, to their friendly staff.
We had a great time here. Cabin was perfect for our family. Be sure to check the water levels before planning a float as they were pretty low however there were some great clear deep holes along the way to swim and enjoy. This area of Arkansas is beautiful and worth the trip!
LOVED IT! The peace, the calm, quiet, birds, butterflies, spring-time hillside erupting in green made this a piece of paradise for my husband of 31 years and I. Then we got on the river. We are from FL where you work to canoe. This was truly a float. On the 8 mile float, we only saw about 2 other kayaks. Unbelievably serene. We took a picnic lunch and enjoyed the day, stopping and exploring the land, too.
We went right after Easter- weather and river were perfect. Christian was very helpful and patient. Matthew was a fantastic, interesting shuttle driver, and Ernie pointed us in the direction of an excellent hiking trail.
Cabin was lovely. Bed was great!!
We hope to come back every Easter and rent the large cabin and bring our adult children! Thank you, Kings River Outfitters for sharing your property with us!
