From Jasper take Arkansas 7 (paved) south for 28 miles. Negotiable by camping trailers.
Clean camping spot . Has a restroom. Picnic tables and grill areas . No pavilions. Approximately four to five camping spots . Also has a walking trail.
This campground has been decommissioned and is no longer maintained. It’s still available to camp at (or atleast it was when we went last year) but that’s why you’ll find people complaining about the state of the fire rings and picnic tables. That being said, it’s still a wonderful place to camp. It’s covered in tall trees (perfect for hammocks) and it has beautiful views of the Ozarks. There’s maybe 8 sites in the whole place, but it’s not very crowded at all. There was only two other people in the campgrounds when we were there. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.
Water is available and the toilets are maintained. Campsites are not. Parking available for the OHT.
Not a bad little place. Stop here two rest one day. Right off the highway.
