Four of us rented two canoes for the day. We checked out the place the day before, and asked the proprietor about the status of the river. We wanted to make sure it was going to be a good safe float. The owner told us that river "wasn't too high, wasn't too low". That wasn't exactly true. We floated and fished for 6 hours, several spots were too low for a canoe. The gear was in good shape, and they gave us ice. We weren't expecting to have to move our vehicle to another part of the property, leaving our keys with the vehicle, unattended. But it worked out fine. We saw lots of wildlife and caught plenty of fish(you can get your fishing license online btw). Lots of places to rest, picnic and swim. Great day overall. We would have rented kayaks if we had been better informed regarding the water conditions. So make sure you ask the right questions, to their friendly staff.
