From Bennington: Go 10 miles north on Route 7A.
Did the loop around the lake in about 30mins with my young daughter. I think it's about 1.25 miles. It was a nice walk with some bridges and walkways over the swamp area. Looks like a nice little beach area with some rentals available. We will definitely be back with some charcoal and hotdogs.
Writing very late review 😁 we camped in June. Family time had a great weekend at Shaftesbury park. The campground ⛺️ wasn’t the best. Car parking was about 20 feet away. And the beach was on the other side of the camp drove about 5 minutes from campsite. Other than that I really enjoyed being in nature with my loved family.
Beautiful tranquil park. Beach area with no lifeguard. Fishing allowed. Nature trails, boat rental and small concession stand with snacks only. $5 per adult and $2 for children admission fee. Special thanks to Josh for his kindness.
Beautiful state park to go for camping with friends and family. Clean washrooms, stunning lake with plenty of Canada Goose. Lot of picnic tables. It is $5 per adult.
