It is a great lake to be at and really nice spots for camping. Just wish people would clean up after themselves and quit throwing glass bottles on the ground. We kept having to pick up glass pieces almost every time we would walk from the water back to the camper and when you have kids that want to walk in the sand or play in the dirt it is a big deal. Sometimes we also see people leave trash behind as well. But other than that, I love the place.
Great spot to camp for free. Has easy access to a large lake. The water is pretty damn warm and is very shallow for about 50 yards. .
Wind can be pretty intense at times. The biting flies become annoying and bug spray doesn't seem to do much. However, there were no mosquitoes and I'll take the biting flies over the mosquitos any day.
It is HOT here. Camped 3 days and the average temp was 100 degrees. There are no trees.
Wouldn't recommend tent camping due to winds.
Absolutely NO amenities whatsoever. Big. Quiet. Tons of mosquitoes. Free. Dead fish litter beaches.
