Camped here for one night while traveling across South Dakota. Loved the location. Facilities were clean and well kept. The owner was very courteous and helpful. Took a drive north of KOA, saw many pheasants and other birds. Turkey came strolling through the campground, along with about 8 deer. Very peaceful place to stay. I will put this on my list of KOAs to choose when traveling this way again.
Stopped here for a night during a cross country road trip. Sites were a decent size. Management was friendly enough. Bathrooms were clean. Checks all the boxes but wouldn’t be somewhere I’d stay more than just overnight for a guaranteed camp site and a hot shower.
Our first time camping there the sites were level and spacious just off the interstate if you ride motorcycle is is a good place to stay a small downtown with a few restaurants or if you feel like checking out surrounding areas your not to far
Great spot for an overnight travel stop. Clean facilities. Level sites. Large pool for this type of campground and had excellent water condition (applause to the pool maintenance staff, it's not easy keeping pool water that pristine!) Only two things we would change: First, the pool closed at 8pm, which is early when most of your guests are folks pulling in for an overnight travel stop. (Does open at 8am though, which is wonderful!)
Second, the overnight lighting is way too bright if you are anywhere near the light poles. Not a relaxing camping vibe and made sleep difficult.
Overall though a good experience and will stop here again.
Overnight stop on our way from east to west USA. Right off the highway. Sites and facilities clean. Hosts really nice. Not many campers here, most rolled in late and left early, like us. Did get to use the pool though- refreshing and clean. Not a tourist destination area here, so I commend the hosts for keeping this campground up and running for all of us highway travelers just passing through.
