A great spot to park your RV for a day or two. Full hookups with laundry and pet washing amenities just across the street. There's also a hardware store if you need materials for a simple RV repair. The lot is all gravel, clean, and don't forget to grab a coin from the nearby liquor store to feed the dragon and watch it breathe fire!
This was a cute little campground situated right across the street from a True Value, dog wash, laundromat, and liquor store and only a mile from Walmart and Cracker Barrel. It had been pouring rain for at least a day, so the ground was a little soggy, but it didn't hamper our leveling at all. We would definitely stay here again and would hopefully have dry weather so we could enjoy the fire-breathing dragon.
This is not a campground as you might imagine. There are 12 pull through full hookup sites across the road from a well stocked hardware store (under the water tower) and that's where you check in at the hardware store cash register.
Just park on the side of the road before you get to the store. This is a safe place to stay for one night if traveling I-70. It's about a mile from the interstate and no traffic noise. Sites are gravel and fairly level. There are no restrooms, showers, trash cans or laundromat, but directly across the road you'll find a convenience/ liquor store, a laundromat, car wash, and a pet wash. Everything you need for an overnight rest.
When you are done checking in at the hardware store the clerk will give you a couple of tokens to light up the fire breathing dragon next to the camp sites. Light him up when it's dark for the best pictures. Each token gets you 10 seconds of flame!
