Love the camp ground itself, but rigid new regulations were onerous. The camp ground has a new owner is changing things which make it less accessible for family camping. The on- ground manager tried his best to be amenable to our needs, so we don't fault him, but they changed the rules after we made our reservations and paid over half our fees as a down payment. They knew we had a tent and a pop-up camper along with a screen tent when we registered in March 2021 and then told us we couldn't have a the tents due to new rules. He relented when we complained politely but made us set everything up on one of the two sites we had paid for which made no sense at all but we did it and put our campfire and a car in the other one. Then he said his boss had driven through on Friday night and wasn't happy with the tents and our set up and would be stopping by to "talk" to us on Saturday. It seemed like harassment to us although that never happened after we tried our best to satisfy the instructions. These sites we like and have camped on before week be made into "premier sites" and unavailable to normal family camping in the future. We will not return our recommend this place in the future. We are sad about these circumstances.

Probably the most expensive/overpriced campsite I’ve ever had. The location is beautiful however you’re basically on the owners front lawn overlooking his homestead. You don’t get any privacy between sites. I didn’t have any shade on mine. You’re not getting a site on the best loop because it looks like those people live there for months on end. God knows how. Even the showers are money operated.. at least they’re clean. The lake view is beautiful and the only redeeming quality. (Short walk from my site) Could be a nice day spot for a picnic which is why i gave it one extra star than it deserves. Over all, it reminded me of a trailer park with a boat ramp. Skip this one and find a quiet spot in the woods.

John which is the manager is awesome helped us out so much he came to see if we needed help while setting up our camper! They also rent boats if you want to go fishing, I would recommend anyone to come out and camp out..my Family loves it! I just wished they would stay open all winter

Where do I start?!? The Kalbus Campground was absolutely incredible. My friend and I booked plans last minute on a “first” (renting an RV and camping together) and our expectations were blown out of the water. The site was spacious, clean, scenic (right on the water), and the facilities and services were top notch. John, the site manager, was wonderful: responsive, informative, helpful, and kind. The location was also wonderful - sandwiched between Oshkosh and Fond du Lac, but secluded enough to feel “off the grid”, and surrounded by bikeable side streets and roads. We will definitely be back as Kalbus made for an incredibly memorable experience.

We camped mid-October for a football game at UOW. The weekend had no staff with email communications.

It's on the lake, so great views, quiet traffic, we were able to walk the dogs. We plan to go back.
