We are so impressed with the hospitality you receive when staying at Scheffel’s Hideaway Campground. We have stayed here for about 5 years now. Tammy and Paul Scheffel are very accommodating owners. The campground is clean and meticulously well taken care of. Could not ask for anything more when staying here!!!!!!!! Nice peaceful place to stay and relax!!!!!!

Stayed at Scheffel's July 13-16, 2023. Can't say enough about the owners, Paul and Tammi. Tammi greeted us when we arrived and gave us the "lay of the land". Paul brought ice and firewood right to the campsite. He also brought over an air compressor for our friends who were dealing with a flat tire on their travel trailer. Great location! Hope to be back soon.

This place is meticulously maintained. Recently expanded. This property borders the state forest (Point Beach). Also there is an adjoining path to the bike trails connecting Point Beach and Manitowoc lakefront. All campsites are level with packed gravel. Easy in and out. Would definitely stay again.

Awesome campground! Stayed for three weeks while working in the area. Clean bathhouse, well maintained level sites and laundry. Oh and the hiking trails to the beach are fantastic! Definitely recommend!

We wanted to go to Kohler Andreas state park, but we were unable to find any campsites close to it. We happened upon Scheffel’s Hideaway Campground and we’re very happy that we did. It’s a small camp, but very well-maintained and very beautiful. No camp store but staff was very accommodating. Very quiet campground. There were children there but not a lot for children to do. It’s definitely a very relaxing campground. We paid for a third night so we could stay the whole day and we left late in the evening to get home. We liked it so much. We just wanted to stay of the day and enjoy it.
