Awesome campground. Nice wooded area, and space between the campsites. They have showers and bathrooms. They also have a boat landing, a beach, and a lot of sites on the water. Will be going again!
Lake side camping is what gets our family to pine point. We bring the boat and kayak when we go and nothing is better than to be able to have the boat 20ft from our camper. Sure there is no shower, but we knew that going in. i'd prefer they had a pay shower set up like other campgrounds.
One of our favorite places to camp. Hard to beat the waterfront campsites right in the center of Lake Holcombe.
This park is a slightly on the rustic side. There is electricity but no shower building. There was 2-3 pit toilets on the grounds. They also had water fill up and dump for the camper. It is a small county park but has a lot to offer. There is a park there with a few things for the kids to play on. But most of all if you like water this is the place to go! We had water on both sides of our site which was neat. The kids were able to use the kayaks still in view of the fire pit!! We will definitely come back. The local towns are small but do have a few things to offer. Ice cream shops and some neat history of the area to check out. We didn't find any great hiking trails to walk but if you are into 4 wheeling this would be a great place with the many trails for that. This would be a great place to go when the leaves change colors too!!
Very well maintained campground with a majority of sites having water access and/or private docks to tie your boat off or swim off of. Several sites have an island feel and is beautiful to kayak around the peninsula. Camp host is very friendly and knowledgeable. Has updated showers and bathrooms that are kept extremely clean especially for a campground! Showers are paid showers tho so bring your quarters! Only downfall to campground is how hard it can be to get a site sometimes. They generally have spots available but most of the prime sites get reserved right away. Overall, it is my family and my favorite place to camp in the entire state.
