I love staying here. We have stayed multiple times to visit family and plan to continue that when in the area. Non-peak season is a great time to come.

It’s cozy and old timy with many modern updates in the rooms. Still uses real keys! The coffee pot wasn’t working, so they brought another immediately. The rooms are no frills and great, IMO.

The bar and restaurant are great if and when you need it, but it’s the trail access that does it for us. We can walk the dog straight into Potowotomi State Park within a few minutes and go hiking, SUP, etc.

Drive into town is safe and easy. New Kwik Trip, Starbucks, Target, and more right down the road.

Very pet friendly at just $10/night.

Room 24 was nice and simple. No frills, and I do prefer the deluxe rooms if you can. One thing in 24 is that the bed closest to the bathroom needs a new mattress.

My girl left her charger at this location and they held it for her for a few days until we could swing back through!

This is a cute vintage motel, right on the water. It is a little ways from the main area of Sturgeon Bay but it is quiet and even has an orange tabby cat who roams the area.

I didn't get any photos but you can look at other reviews. Personally I recommend this spot if you're looking for a peaceful, inexpensive option in Sturgeon Bay.

Also great for people looking for easy access to Potawatomi State Park

This place is amazing. They’ve got tons of fun things for families to do, right on the water. The view is spectacular. The food is incredible. The drinks are great. Everything is extremely affordable. The owners are some of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.

10/10 would recommend.

DO NOT STAY HERE. We stayed here a few weeks ago and this joint needs a good gut job and redo…or burn it down. It’s clear neither the owners nor the staff care about this place that much. Door was a thin joke with a handle from a home door. Not very secure. Room was musty and smelly like someone smoked in it forever. There were flys and bugs everywhere including on the bed and floor. Found one in a water cup in the bathroom one night. Furniture is old and worn out. Pillows are flat rocks. For the price we paid it was a joke. Sure the location is great near the park and water but for the same price I can stay somewhere where I don’t have to worry about swallowing bugs In my sleep.

Service in the bar was pretty abysmal as well. No urgency. No care for customers. Again do not stay here. Ever.

Is this a fancy five star hotel, no, but is it the best value you're going to get with the best view in SB, yes, it is. Conveniently located right next to Potawatomi Park and overlooking Sturgeon Bay itself and the shipyards. It is a delight to hang out on the shore and enjoy a beer in the evening. The fish boil is right on the shoreline and Mike, the MC for the fish boil is a character and very entertaining. The fish boil is excellent, especially the cherry pie. The rooms are modest and a bit dated but clean and tidy. I've never had a problem with the service as it is always been very courteous and very accommodating. I have not eaten much at the restaurant itself other than the fish boils but I hear good things about many of the dishes, especially their Friday fish fry. If you're looking for fancy, look, elsewhere. But if you're looking for a great location at reasonable price, do not hesitate to give this place a try.
