The park is located 2.5 miles west of the intersection of County Highway M and State Highway 27, then 1/2 mile north.
Absolutely beautiful campground, however, campsite sizes are deceptive as there are logs, boulders, and tree's lining the roads and each campsite pad. We recently booked a site and were unable to get into 5 different sites with a 40' 5th wheel. I would not recommend going here with anything larger than 28' unless you are familiar with the specific site you're reserving. No refund due to being oversized, camp host was not onsite when we arrived at 7pm on a Thursday to offer different options so we landed up finding another place to camp.
Great county park on Holcombe flowage. Caretaker is personable and knowledgeable of the area. Had a relaxing time. Will definitely come again.
Beautiful campsites but getting a little ridiculous with all the extra charges. The showers should be included. Charge more for the sites if you need to. We were fortunate we had the 16 quarters at our camper!
Nice campground on the 4000 acre Holcombe flowage. No water hookup but they do have electric and a bunch of sites with private docks. Nice 2 lane Boat launch in the campground. Playground and nice restroom shower facility. Wood available.
Really nice campground on the Holcombe flowage near Chippewa Falls. Nice sites, some with docks. Reasonably priced, but everything you need is an extra cost. Shower, dock site was extra, wood (of course) so it ended up being the same amount as a state park in the end. Of course you have to stop at the Leinie Lodge for a flight.
