We are here for the summer working on a project in West Bend and we absolutely love our spot overlooking a pond. We have seen 25 different species of birds, been serenaded by frogs to sleep every night all in a quiet campground. Very clean and well maintained. This is not a party campground. They have rules like a lot of other places, just adhere to them its not difficult. The owners have have been very good and kind to us, even worked with us to get us in a little earlier than opening if we had to because of our job starting.
Price was higher than other places we rv, but the campground offers swimming, fishing and many other recreational options that we do not use. We saw many people enjoying the beach area, and i think you can stop in for a day trip with a family at cost. The site was peaceful, clean and the staff very helpful getting our rv parked. There was 50 amp and sewer hook up. Wish for a lower price but we will probably return. Only live about 10 miles away, but there is no reason to drive 3 hours for a $30 site when we can drive 10 miles for a $60 site, I guess. A great campground!
Wow is all I can say in regards to the service we were given by, who I assume, is the owner. We came in for an afternoon visit with 2 small children - had never been to the grounds before. From the moment we pulled in, we were treated horribly. I have no problem with processes and rules, and am a true rule follower. And, sometimes you miss the signs and directions (especially with toddlers in toe, ya know?!). The way the rules were enforced was rude, disrespectful, aggressive, and threatening. It was clear that my children’s safety was of least importance as we were shown zero grace or understanding. I can’t believe I paid $20 to be treated so horribly. I will never return and would advise families with littles to stay far far away. So very disappointing.
My husband and I have been here for 2 years with a permanent RV site we have full hook up, but for the last 2 years we have noticed that towards August the water starts having a foul smell to it. The owner of the camp ground is very rude to and aggressive towards the permanent people who have sites there and also their guests. I was walking our dog this past weekend and she barked at someone, OMG you thought we committed a crime!! She's a dog sometimes they bark, he threatened to kick us out if she barks again. We are definitely upset over this, there are alot of dogs that people have there and everyone of them bark especially the little dogs, our dog is not little but he insisted that she is aggressive, by no means is she aggressive. We are definitely looking to move elsewhere. What ever you do don't have a permanent site there or even go for the weekend, his rules are ridiculous. I have never been to a camp ground that treated you so badly.
Went to Lake Lenwood last minute over the Labor Day weekend, This was our first time camping there and we were able to get a site right on the water. The sites were average size, larger than some other places we have stayed. The lake is nice with a very nice beach area. There are boats and kayaks to rent and you can fish in a few different areas. The owners were very nice and the campground was very clean. The area has fun things to do within a 15 minute drive. We will camp here again.
