This recreation area is part of Whitney Lake
Located 30 minutes from I-35. Take I-35 to Hillsboro, and go W on Hwy 22 for 20 miles to Whitney. In Whitney, leave Hwy 22, and continue straight on Loop 180 for 1 mile to FM 933. Go north (R) on FM 933 for 4 miles to FM 1713. Turn West (L) onto FM 1713, go 1 mile, and turn R on Juniper Cove. Go 1 mile to Marina Lake Campground.
If there was a zero star, that’s what this place would be. Stayed 9/17-19/21 at RV and my son/family had 1 room cabin. Took us over an hour to level our RV. The RV sites need a lot of work! Sites either have 30 or 50 amp not both. We moved because there was not 1 tree in the site we assigned. Bathroom was ok. Door was screen with latch.
The cabins bed was beyond nasty! Stains and torn sheets. So dirty we pray it’s not bed bugs!! Comes with bed/bedding, bunk beds placed in like closet area and futon in living area, small kitchen table, stove, refrigerator, microwave and trash can/bag. No pillows, towels, toiletries, kitchen supplies. Way too expensive for what you get. No info on website to know this. Had to hunt for a dumpster.
On positive, people are friendly and marina is nice.
Had a great Labor Day our on lake Whitney. Not ramp was great- got a bit busy around lunch but over all a great experience.
We have been boating on Lake Whitney for over 30 years! Great marina until they decide to close 2 hours early in the summer on a Saturday. Since they are the only marina with gas on the lake, boaters are left stranded. Not cool!
Very nice people much helpful, and treated us with totally respect I would definitely recommend this place. Nice cabin as well good location 👍 👌
The best marina on Lake Whitney, i have been using this marina for over 40 years.
