Love the camping area here...was only bout 18 feet from the lake...seemed to be pretty good spot to get a kayak in and out of the water...pretty lake...

Great free campground, water facets near most sites. The flooding of May 2019 has shut it down, but are in hopes to open it back up sometime in June.

Most sites a quite private with trees between them. There are 2 bathrooms, and a porta-potty. 2 boat ramps, and pavilions over the picnic tables. Saw some deer, and the camp host goes through a couple of times a day. There are a couple of convince stores just a few miles from the campground. Quiet, even on the weekends when most of the sites are full. I would go there again!

A nice place where the locals love to leave the parking lots and picnic pavilions empty and park one vehicle to a campsite while they're in the water for a few hours, so if you think there might be nowhere to camp, get there first thing in the AM or come back at dusk, as almost none of the people in the sites actually spend the night. Even half the ones who setup tents just do it for fun? Or figure out they don't like being outside once it's nighttime at the very least.

The sites are all pretty spacious, with both river and potable water nearby, along with pit toilets and dumpsters I'm each section, so there's absolutely no reason why you should pile up your trash in your camp and leave it there.

Close the restroom doors and there won't be a bunch of bugs, or a raccoon to jump at your hind end. Close the lid and the smell will go out the solar fan driven exhaust stack.

A wonderful place either for an over nighter, or for 2 weeks. All sites have picnic pavilions, pit toilets, and water spigots throughout the park and dumpsters. Lots of deer and various species of birds. Please remember what you bring in, pack it up and dispose of it properly. Let's not lose this beautiful campground.
