Very beautiful view.but it is a rough 2 mile drive to the overlook.no car or low ride vehicle for that drive.but it worth the trip if you like nature and a grand view..

My husband and I love it here. Very peaceful, free or paid camping, great hiking and a great way to cool off by taking a dip in John's Creek. Highly recommended!

John's Mountain Overlook, a gravel road leading to the trail head, has great views and Pinhoti Loop hike that leads to Keown Falls Overlook and picnic area. I suggest going clockwise (left) as the climb up near the Keown picnic area is very steep compared to the rest of the hike. Be aware of ticks, especially by the creeks and waterfalls.
