Always a great place to camp, get away, or hike a ways on the AT. 😊
Great place, campers welcome, water is a half mile down the road. Just be respectful.
Owned by the New Bethel Baptist Church but they allow you to camp there. Leave no trace camping, really for Appalachian Trail travelers.
Wonderful setup here, especially with the trail magic from the church members. Thank you, thank you, thank you. One of the most memorable trail magic I ever got. Also a nice see-saw type thing, but I was alone when I got here so I didn't really get to use it.
Thank you to New Bethel Baptist Church for all the wonderful weekends of camping my Boy Scout troop was allowed to spend at this spot. The covered privy and sheltered cooking area were just what we needed on some rainy nights and getting started on our AT treks to Springer. The cemetery adds a little flavor to the outings, and is a great way to inspire leave no trace.
