One of our go to get away in the mountains. Great dirt roads well maintain. Lots of clean water and most of the people you meet are nice and happy to be out in the woods.
By far my favorite hiking trails. There are 2 rivers and plenty of tributary creeks on almost every hike. The area has it all from elevation to thick jungle wooded wet areas. I love it!
Beautiful and empty. We hiked for two days and saw no one. Plenty of campsites. Panther creek trail was hard to find because of logs after the flood. Some sections were overgrown, but I liked that. Panther creek falls was worth the climb. Overall, it’s a hidden gem.
Great place to ride and view the wilderness. Roads are worn and could use some fill spots to accommodate more vehicles; however I’m in a Jeep and go for the off-roading experience.
