The place was kinda isolated. Had to wander all around the lake to find out the spillway. The Google map took us to the middle of the lake. Just walk through the beeds lake drive across the two lakes it's fun. Then you can park your vehicle by the sign of spillway and make a very short walk to it. Don't forget to get down for the spillway it gives a nicer view. We almost missed it cz we didn't see any trail down there first. Plenty of bugs near the water way even for a 2mins stop by. Very nice and calm place where the maintenance is needed. A campground was there too. Good only if you live nearby.

Took a short walk to the dam. The lake is beautiful. We did take a path at the bottom of the dam that was a dead end to a drainage ditch. The campground looks really nice and there is a really nice picnic area.

Nice laid back spot! We reserved two camping spots for a group of six, could've probably fit into 1 spot but the extra space was nice!

Private shower rooms and bathroom onsite, each campsite has a fire pit and grill combo, atleast one picknick table, plenty of trees surrounding the park area and a solid breeze.

Mostly rocky shore near the camping area with a gradual decline into the lake unless you go in around the little peninsula then it's a pretty sudden drop off. There is a hiking trail around the entire lake with a bridge that goes over part of the lake.

Didn't do enough fishing to get a real feel for the lake in that sense.

We went here on labor day weekend. The campgrounds were well kept and clean. the lake is nice but a small lake so a large boat wouldn't be the best choice. The camp sites are right on top of each other. when we pulled up to our site we thought someone was in our site. Apparently we were just suposed to park along the road. on one of the roads going through the campsite I think there was only 2 feet on either side of the RV. Maybe on a non holiday weekend it is not as bad.
