Wow wow wow!! Love everything about this place. We only stayed overnight but it’s one of the best RV parks we’ve ever overnighted at. Beautiful campus, large level sites and clean showers. Everything one could ask for. We WILL be back.
They clearly cater to long termers. Ask for site in back as it's much nicer. The front is old, crowded, close, and busy.
Bathroom/showers/laundry areas very clean.
Nice location.
People don't follow dog rules so be wary about dogs off leash while walking yours on leash.
Disappointed after reading all the positive reviews. Though had we been in back it would have been much much nicer.
I can't say enough good things about Griff's. I stay here whenever I'm in the area (unless they're booked full) and they're always fantastic. The sites are all level, concrete pads with full hook ups and 20/30/50amp power, the roads are wide and easy to navigate, and the staff are amazing. Even with my crazy work schedule they're always able to accommodate me. I wholeheartedly recommend the park to anyone looking for a place to stay in a camper or RV in the Des Moines area.
We were lucky enough to book 2 nights here over New Years, they were full over Christmas weekend. They are mostly full with long term site rentals, but all the sites appear well kept and tidy. This is not a 'campground', it is an RV park. It does not have a lot of trees or nature, but there is a fishing pond and a bike trail that runs next to the park. There is not a trailer park feel. Our concrete pad was the nicest most level place we've ever set up. The hook ups are in very good condition. The showers and bathroom facilities are impeccable and clean. It looks like someone cleans this place every single day. There was a passive aggressive note on the pool table cover which gave us a feeling that there was some tension with the management and long term guests, but we didn't actually encounter any other guests. Most people seem to keep to themselves and go to bed early.
We will definitely be back here, it was a great place to stay. I've never stayed anywhere with showers so nice.
