I like the location and the atmosphere. Seems nostalgic having a drive in movie theater. I can't wait until they actually open for the season. Popcorn, drinks and food, what more can one ask for?
When going to see a family member the last thing you want is for your GPS to be wrong. So we were mortified and almost cut back out into traffic when we saw their signs that say "do not enter your GPS is wrong". Turns out no, it isn't. Under that sign it says tenants only because apparently people trying to visit the drive in theater would go in there. These signs almost made us have a car accident.
How on earth can they operate as a business? Tried a month ago to book a campsite for the weekend while my grandson is visiting, they said to call closer to the date. My sister's family decided we would try to camp together and when my brother in law called 2 weeks ago he was told the same...call closer to the date. He asked how much closer? WS told 2-3 days. SO I called today to get a site for Saturday night ... "We don't book ahead". Who packs their camper, hitches up and drives to a campground without knowing they have a place to set up?!
Set it up to pullin after hours. I was told there were 5 spots available rhere were only 3, 2 of which I would have never gotten into because the cars were in the road and the one that was left I qould have had no place for my wife and I to park. The campers are pretty much stacked on top of each other. The laundry has 1 washer and 1 dryer shared between 50 or 60 campers. Looks kinda cracky not a place I would stay with my kids. Do yourself a favor and look a little harder.
More of an RV community than a campground. Most of the sites are long-term tenants, not "campers". We were told on the phone that they would reserve a spot for us but when we got there they said they don't do that. Luckily a spot happened to be available. We stayed after our movie and were happy to have that option but it seems like there's a lot of room for improvement. Being able to reserve a spot, would be a good place for them to start.
P.S. The drive-in theater and its facilities are top-notch. The "campground" just pales in comparison.
