Hotel Luna Mystica is a vintage trailer hotel and campground in Taos, NM. We are an independent property, located 15 minutes from downtown Taos, near the Gorge Bridge, Mamby Hot Springs and Earthship Biotecture. We are also next door to Taos Mesa Brewing, a full restaurant and venue. Our camp sites are primitive but we do have a free standing tiny house with 2 indoor bathrooms/showers, 2 outdoor showers, and a utility sink with great drinking water on the outside. We have WiFi which may help as cell service is spotty on the west side of Taos. Access to our brand new lounge!
Sites are not marked, we prefer to let people find places that feel good to them. The area is safe. No creepy crawlies, just coyotes, bunnies, friendly dogs and a cat. There are fire pits and wood is available for purchase on site. Please respect neighbors, campground is mellow.
We came to stay at the Hotel Luna Mystica for a night away from home and had a perfect experience. We stayed in Frida and very much loved the quirky design of the camper.Even though outside it got very cold at night (15 degrees),it was nice and warm inside. Used a shower house in the morning and the water was very warm.Beautiful views and very good sound sleep, overall a very enjoyable experience.Colin, the operations manager, was very friendly and helpful.Stay was relaxing, simple and very enjoyable!
Absolute Dream! It was relaxing, simple, and a great getaway! Being able to bring my dog with me was a great way for us to relax under the stars and explore.
The lady in the front (can't remember her name) was so sweet and answered all my questions. The whole experience was just the relaxing New Years I was looking for. Thank you!
Hotel Luna Mystica was great! We’ve stayed in two of the campers they offer but they have many other fun ones they offer! We stayed in were Apollo & Jazzy. They are queen size beds and are a comfortable size. Two of us were traveling with our two big dogs with us. Love that HLM is dog friendly! They have a station with bags & a trash cans and lots of space to walk them around. the location is perfect for a visit to Taos. a short drive to town.
The sunrises are spectacular with the view.
We stayed in the winter, but it would be so fun to stay in the the summer with live music at the Taos Brewing Company next door.
It was plenty warm in the campers despite the cold weather.
Mini fridge, microwave, & french press for morning coffee was perfect. They have big carts that you can use to bring your luggage from you car to your camper.
For my birthday I had a choice of dinner at Geronimo’s or Hotel Luna Mystica and it was no contest. This is our 3rd time staying here, just to get out of Santa Fe, and it’s an oasis. We want to go through all of trailers one by one. Each has a unique personality. This time we stayed in the Apollo. It was like being in a small spaceship, just the two of us and pug. Heaven.
This is definitely the coolest possible place to stay in the Taos area. This would be a fabulous place for a destination wedding or a family reunion or just a solo trip to get connected with yourself. The views are amazing and there are mountains on every side of you. I could have sat on my little deck for days. But my trailer, Donna, was a little bit small for me and my adult daughter who came along at the last minute. The bathroom is tiny, period. I highly recommend that everyone gets their own adorable little trailer! Best, most beautiful deal out there. I will definitely be back.
