Wonderful campground, so close to the ocean and Ophir park. Excellent hosts. Walkable to the beach and bike-able to the little Gold Beach town with some excellent dining options and activities. A short drive to Humbug Mountain for hikes and Port Orford for more entertainment, tours, and cute food spots. The dog park here is perfect for traveling with pups and all grounds and amenities are well kept. Elks and deer wander the expansive grounds at dusk and dawn. Beautiful! Highly recommend!

This place is beautiful, peaceful, clean and was easy to find. The private walk to the state park beach is easy, but if you have small children or cannot move fast, just make the short drive to the park. Crossing hwy 101 can be dangerous. I wish it still had all the amenities it used to have, like the restaurant or access to that beautiful building on the grounds. It may have been the time of year, but they did say the restaurant won't re open. Everything like bathrooms and laundry were impeccably clean and they have the best dog park I have ever seen. Our dog will miss it.

I think over all you won't find a place with nicer grounds and people. Even though it rained every day when we were there, we still had a great time relaxing, taking walks and sight seeing. Not far at all from Jedediah Smith to see the Redwoods and Gold Beach is about 10 min down the road.

We had a very private site with lots of shade. People are very friendly. Location is good for day trips. Bad...you pay for wifi and it's daily per device. Beach is close and easy access

We booked 2 nights here as the southern destination of our week-long Oregon Coast adventure. The reservation procedure was seamless and when we arrived earlier than planned, Honey Bear was graciously accommodating. The campground is immaculate and classy, with beautiful rhododendrons everywhere, biking trails, and greenspace for dogs and bocce ball. It is a gorgeous park, well-maintained, and very friendly people running the place. Highly recommend Honey Bear. We will be back again.

Beautiful place to stay! Tammy and David are awesome and deserve a hefty pay raise. Very dog friendly with the beach being about a 5 minute walk away. Nice fenced in dog park. Elk hanging out, birds chirping, and the grounds are very well maintained.
