Ok park with all the nice campsites closed off in November 2023. Host that is ready to bark at you for leaving the light on in the inside restroom (outside restroom lights stay on 24 7) when they should just get a automated switch (may or may not take the cigarette out of her mouth) . While turning off the light is policed, generators and music after quiet hours are not so be prepared. Shower not included with the stay. Recommend going up the road to the USFS site for the same price. Restrooms passable but slightly scary.
The assistant manager lady is horrible and mean. Luckily she can't be bothered to do much very often. The guy above her is great. The campground is fine. The view of the river is pretty. The porta potties are constantly filthy. The showers don't get cleaned very well and the water doesn't get warm enough for my taste but the pressure is good.
Midweek it is quiet and peaceful, on weekends it gets busy although the camp did not get rowdy at all. We stayed in the back of the park and thankfully it kept the forest vibe despite the front end becoming more like a tent city. The downside is the distance to the bathrooms, many of our fellow campers drove down to the facilities. We used a bike and that was very helpful. Not so great in the middle of the night. Easy access to the river and views of the jet boats each day.
