Loeb State Park is located 8 miles east of Brookings on the North Bank Chetco River Road off Highway 101 at the south end of Brookings city limits in Curry County on Oregon’s south coast. Turn east on the north end of the Chetco River bridge, then stay to the right.
Gorgeous park on the Chetco River! Loved walking along the river. We also loved the hike about 1/2 mile up the road the ranger told us about. It was a loop hike with Redwoods & Myrtle trees.
We really enjoy staying in the cabins at this state park. The river is a beautiful sight from the porch. I feel safe visiting with just my little boy and me. Restrooms are clean, park is well-lit, the host seems to be actively checking on everything. We haven't had a bad experience yet 🙂
The campground was awesome & the river access made our spot even cooler. Clean bathrooms, nice free showers, accessible fire pit, fire wood $5.00 and 19 minutes to town to grab items you may have forgot to bring. The river was perfect for paddle boarding and it felt like a bathtub. The trailhead hike was beautiful! The temperature drops on the coast, so extra blankets & warm clothes are a must. 😀
