Great time Park in the RV here and coming for 20 years glad they got rid of the tent camping
Would not honor Good Sam membership discount that is posted in the 2022 Good Sam campground guide. Cannot make reservations online. Campsites are ok, the lady who checked us in was very helpful and nice.
We had a really nice weekend at Hinsdale Campground. We live just across the river but wanted to sleep in our new tent and have an easy getaway. Such a sweet place to visit with kids! The office attendant was warm and helpful. The facilities, bathhouse, and pool were spotless. The pool is big, well maintained, and hidden in the back to make for almost a resort feel. The campsite was wooded and lovely. We talked with some seasonal residents who were the nicest and most welcoming people. It was warm summer nights and the campground was hopping, but it quieted down entirely by 9:30 pm with the only sounds being cracking campfires. I felt like we found a hidden treasure!
BEAUTIFUL area and nice campground. I went camping here on a kayaking trip my best friend from high school and I did the Summer before we both started college. We kayaked down the West River from Townshend State Park to the Brattleboro Marina; then entered the Connecticut River and camped out at Hinsdale our first night.
Then we continued paddling down the Connecticut, across the VT/NH/MA tri-state border down into MA, and camped out until we reached our take out spot, which was the Connecticut River Greenway Park in Northampton, MA.
Nice campground, facilities clean, some of the sites are too narrow. So narrow, you can't put your picnic table under your awning because the sewer, water electric hookups for the site next to you are right there. Would come back, as long as I can pick the site.
