Had a really good time! 4 stars because the roads are small and some lady flipped out because we all couldn't fit while driving our cars. 🙄 Watched another guy flip out on someone at a nearby Dunks. I think the town itself is crawling with cranky hungover Mass campers. Not the campgrounds fault though. We plan on being back.

Staff is money grubbing. Twice they've broken their own extra person policies and charged me full price to join my family at the camp site. $90 for 24 hours for 1 adult and 1 child. At those prices they should've given me a site of my own!!! The extra person policy is $10/night for extra adults and $6/night for extra children.

Never returning, and not recommending to anyone. Have never had a good experience with this place.

We stayed at Cold Springs this past Labor Day weekend. It had been a few years but we had stayed at this campground before. The campground itself is very large and well maintained. As you likely can see from other reviewers, they do enforce the rules in the pool area and entrance. I'm not sure why others would see this as a negative as they are just doing their job and making it a pleasant experience for all. My kids did get asked to walk their bikes in the entrance area and I appreciated staff saying something to them. There were signs posted, but the kids didn't read them. The staff was very nice and once they knew they were sure to walk through that area going forward. They had some great entertainment this past weekend and of course the beautiful weather made the pool in September great! My husband and his friend participated in darts, and were oddly the only non-seasonal campers. To their surprise the seasonal campers were extremely welcoming and a great group of players. So kudos to that group! The only negative, and why I only rated 4 stars, was not completely the campgrounds fault but their responsibility in it all can't be dismissed. We had probably the absolute worst 2 nights (Friday and Saturday) that we have had in over 20 years of camping. A large, extremely inconsiderate, group of campers partied hard. We weren't able to sleep until around 2am due to the noise for 2 nights in a row. We aren't talking a group just staying out by the fire talking. It was heavily intoxicated singing, yelling, and every other word swearing. We did speak with the office the next morning and on night 2 security came around after midnight. However, at that point my husband was already out there asking that they quiet down. Fortunately it was around the time security happen to be coming through, likey due to complaints, as there were a few in the group that responded aggressively and it was becoming a dangerous situation. ADVICE to management - this never should have been a problem. Night time security should be going through the entire campground each night after quiet hours and again for areas that were found to be potential problems. I understand that there probably isn't this problem very often, as I said I've never seen anything quite like it in over 20 years, but night security should be more present. If security says they do drive around at quiet time each night then they they need more training on how to diffuse large groups who have been drinking versus turning a blind eye until a complaint comes in.

We have been camping here for years. Until recently, it was just a vacation spot. Amenities are great, and there are multiple activities for the kids. Kid and adult pools/hot tubs, Cafe, multiple laundry facilities, game room, and paved roads that are great for human and dog walks. The reason for.4 stars is simply because we have become seasonal and have found seasonal camper rules to be somewhat restrictive and irregular.
