Shoal Creek campground is about seven miles from Lanier Islands on Shadburn Ferry Road, just off Buford Dam Road. Campers will love the large wooded sites with tables, fire rings and grills. They are all suitable for RVs or tents.
We have done the rv spots and the tent spots. We tent camp but definitely prefer the rv sites for the electric hookups. The access to the lake is awesome . The have plenty of pet friendly spots. The sites are always clean and the staff is great. We had to call after hours maintenance one time and thier response was very timely. Absolutely no complaints about this campground!
This was by far the best camping experience we have ever had. The lake view was picture worthy. The grounds are beautiful and very clean and Randy checked on us to see if we needed anything. Great customer service. I was very impressed with the bathrooms, they were well stocked and clean, thank you Pat. We really enjoyed going to get an icecream in the check in booth, an extra bonus. Thank you Shoal Creek for a Stellar establishment. We will he back.
This campsite has the most disrespectful folks I’ve ever encountered. Multiple groups were up past midnight playing loud music, then blasting country music and screaming at 7am. No enforcement of quiet hours. Absolutely miserable experience. Please do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.
I want to thank the Staff all great beautiful people. Especially thanks to Morgan for always accommodating my family and and working with us all the time we need him. He is very humble and always with a smile on his face. My family always feels welcomed. Thank you staff 😊
Campsite was well maintained and quiet and we had a really nice view of the lake. My kids enjoyed their own area of the lakeshore to hang out and fish, visit with the ducks, skip rocks, play in the dirt, throw a football, etc. It’s Fall break so it was a little cool for swimming, but they had a great time regardless. The staff were really friendly. Bathroom’s were pretty close by, clean and well stocked. The only thing I can think of that could use some TLC soon is the railroad ties they use to make a pathway down to the camp from the parking space. You could break an ankle if you aren’t paying attention and I can see that being an issue with someone older trying to visit and enjoy the space with family. All in all, we had a really great experience and time! Thanks Shoal Creek!
