Whitetail Ridge Campground is a waterfront facility on the western shore of West Point Lake, which spans parts of Alabama and Georgia. This man-made lake has 525 miles of shoreline that provide excellent opportunities for fishing, camping, boating and other recreational activities.
From Lagrange, Georgia, travel west on State Route 109 for about 7 miles. After crossing the first bridge across the lake, travel approximately one more mile, then turn left onto Thompson Road. After a mile, bear left and watch for the sign.
Campsite fees for reservations made after January 1, 2021 will be increased. Single campsites with water and electricity rent for $30.00 per night while double campsites with water and electricity rent for $60.00 per night.
West Point Lake campgrounds will accept payment by credit card, debit card, or prepaid credit card only. No other form of payment will be accepted. This change will streamline financial transactions, provide quicker processing of refunds, and enhance gatehouse operations. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your business this camping season.
Very nice campground and a good place for the family. Clean, quiet, friendly staff and beautiful sites on West Point Lake. No doubt would recommend and hope to return soon
Good Campground! Great catfishing!!! Needs a few more bathhouses, roads are very hilly...bike riding will wear you out...lol Many of the water sites have steep declines to the pad.
The restrooms could be more wheelchair friendly. Otherwise, it's a wonderful place to stay! Beautiful views, wildlife to watch, and we always feel safe out there.
The wife and I came in for a family reunion and she found Whitetail Ridge by searching online. We weren't sure what we were going to find because we had never been here before but were very pleased when we arrived. The staff was helpful and friendly, the campsites are very spacious and and there is decent amount of space between sites. There are lots of shaded waterfront sites. The overall quietness and scenery make this a very impressive campground. The bathrooms and showers are well kept and clean. We stayed four days and three nights and really enjoyed our stay. Whitetail Ridge could very well become our yearly place to stay for the reunion, we loved it !
We LOVED this park! Even with our size space 44 & 41 were exceptional. This rates up there with the best ever for a campground. Great for kayaks and boats since they can be moored at the site. It would have 5 stars but no sewer hookup. The dump, however, was clean, wide, and accessible. We will make reservations for next year as soon as they open in April!
