Pitch your tent or roll up in your Camper or Van to your own private campsite! Campsites come with a fire pit & the best views around! Our off-grid home is just up the road if there is any need, however you have your own area to enjoy the Chihuahuan sunrises & sunsets! We can offer tours of the area, and some basic essentials will be available for purchase as well!
There is amazing local wildlife here with everything from prong-horn to mule deer, desert hares, havelinas, bobcats, coyotes, eagles, hawks, and of course, the local ranchers free range cattle!
We recommend all-terrain tires on whatever vehicle you plan to bring in, as we are about 10 miles off the pavement in ranch roads. There is a Mexican restaurant in town, and 2 gast stations with basic foods & toiletries as well!
Went last weekend for 3 days and stayed in cabin 2 right in front of water. It was amazing!! The staff was the best part, they were by far the kindest most helpful people ever. They made it feel like home ❤️ it's a must go spot especially feeding the animals and seeing the stars at night over the lake.
Awesome place with awesome people, you feel they are welcome you in the moment you call, John and Lawinda are super nice people, bathrooms are clean, we just stop 1 night for New Year evening and have party with the neighbors, Love Texas and their friendly people
They are thieves don’t stay here. They charged me an electric fee on my credit card two weeks after I was gone. They kept my 150 dep. plus a 88.00 fee so 240.00 for 5 days of use. Plus a moth of rent that I only used 5 days off. They are a POS! They could not keep the electricity on breaker popped at least 3 times a week.
I loved the scenery and country vibes out in Mathis was very nice and relaxing will be going again this spring 2024
We loved our waterfront site on Lake Corpus Christi. Only 30 amps power at the water. Includes petting zoo with ponies, sheep, goats. Good store, pizza service , pool table. Shout-out to Steve for great service. We’ll stay again
