This is our go-to lodging when visiting Big Bend National Park. Nothing fancy, just comfortable accomodations with incredible stargazing opportunities. It's only 40 minutes north of the park and the drive is beautiful. Very friendly staff as well. You can get a room, pitch a tent, or bring your RV.

Our room was really nice and had a refrigerator and it was really close to the pad where we set our astronomy equipment up! The shower pressure was a little weak but it was sufficient. The people were wonderful and the owner Dan was generous and willing to show us around their astronomy equipment and on-site observatories. We were invited to have bloody Mary's with some of their friends and watch the eclipse too! It was a fabulous experience at a wonderful dark-sky location!

We stayed here for a week while visiting Big Bend at the RV park. Great park with great service! Space was level and a great size. Our 50 amp was not working when we arrived and they quickly fixed it and double checked it was working. About 40 minutes to the entrance of BBNP, and about another 40 into the park to hike. At the time of year (January) there was not much open in Marathon. But the sky at night is to die for!

We stayed here overnight on our way to Big Bend National Park. The grounds are very pretty & well maintained. The courtyard is beautiful. Nicely decorated for the holidays.

It’s a dark sky park, so be conscientious of your lights at night.

Reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

It was a great place, we stayed in a pull through side it was nice and leveled. We had good Verizon and mobile services. The place is nice and spacious with great views of the mountains and sunsets and sunrises. Astronomy lessons are so fun and informative. Walking distance to the town. Good starting point to visit Big Band National Park. I definitely recommend this place. The train tracks are close by, you can hear the train.
