Campsite: Sweetwater Creek State Park

What a nice place, many hiking trails and beautiful views of the river or the lake. Not too many people, dog friendly and plenty of parking. There are plenty of picnic tables, located all over the park and around the lake. Some trails are under repairs but rangers advised us to take the red trail to the yellow and it was very nice. We were able to enjoy the river, bridge and see the ruins on the other side of the river. Beautiful.....

Campsite: Government Canyon State Natural Area

Nice place with a lot of options for hiking. We went to see dinosaur tracks. The hike is about 2.5 miles one way, 5 miles all together, it's not difficult at all the only thing is that there are a lot of rocks on the trail, u need to pay attention to your steps and sturdy shoes are a must. There are benches along the way, and once you arrive at the destination. We spent a good amount of time looking at the dinosaur tracks... It is so cool to see it, and the more you look at it the more details you see .

Campsite: Thousand Trails Colorado River

Great campground, big driveways, leveled, most of it gravel and some dirt. Full hookups, good Verizon service. A lot of free space to walk around and enjoy this quiet place. Right on the Colorado River, plenty of opportunities to watch the deer and birds. Dog park, pool and indoor hot tub. Mini golf, and other outdoor games. So far this is my favorite thousand trails park I have visited.

Campsite: Thousand Trails Medina Lake

Nice park located in Texas Hill Country. Big space with walking trails, pool mini golf and plenty of other activities. Beautiful sunsets over what used to be Lake Medina, unfortunately the lake is dry now for about 2 years. There are a lot of RV spots here some with full hookups some not, and some of them are more leveled than others. Some spots stay wet after rain for a long time. We enjoyed our stay here quiet and peaceful, a lot of wildlife to observe, deer came right to the RV, birds, fox and bunnies. People that work here put a lot of effort to keep the place nice and campers happy. There is a calendar with activities, and the super bowl party was fun.
