This is a budget-priced RV park that is a okay RV park to stay at if you don't need more than the standard RV connections of water, electricity, and a sewer connect. I stayed here after visiting the McDonald Observatory. It is a short distance when you get to the foot of the mountain leaving the observatory-- about 15 minutes away.
Sites are good and level, but are full of sandspurs. If you have dogs stay somewhere else! You will need to keep your shoes on a deburr them constantly. Road noise is a problem if you're a lite sleeper.
Just laid our heads down for the night... Room was okay. The breakfast was found to be LACKING. bananas, cereal, fake orange juice, fake coffee ( black with no taste or smell ) muffins the size of a quarter Could easily do better than these choices i would think
if your diabetic your S O L
This is our go-to RV park when in Fort Davis. The sites are not as crowded as typical private RV parks and they're adding improvements every year like a laundry, bath house, large covered pavilion, and additional wi-fi. Our cell phone coverage (ATT & T-Mobile) is very good.
Went to the top of the mountain lookout. Fabulous. Enen with the crazy twisting road to the top. Shouldn't be missed. Lodge/restaurant wasn't open, under going renovations.
