Drive from kanab to North rim goes via this area. It's a great drive just before winter shuts down the road, around december 1.
I've witnessed one of the best sunsets at Kaibab National Forest. The forest borders both the north and south rims of the Grand Canyon. It's a great place for hikers and families.
If you're lucky enough, you'll get to see wild birds and animals (deer, antilopes, owls, bears, etc).
Wow was this a beautiful place. These vermilion cliffs were fabulous and look at that color against the blue sky. Simply magnificent! We saw these driving on US-89A close to Marble Canyon Arizona.
