Camped out there a few times, had cell service, mosquito's and Big black bitting fly's in certain areas some tick's. Differently going back to camp and explore.
Thick woods, humans are NoT 'alone' here! Also not sure about which rung of the food chain we are, when we are in those woods either..so now...you've been enlightened. If we told you what we saw, you'd think we were goofy in the head, but here it is anyways-- Just after dark, while admiring the evening stars, we noticed (*Large, 'floating', Green & very brightly~ Glowing~ oval, unhuman eyes watching us~(they glowed withouT anY light!),,, unexplainable by any logical method. Not big cats, wild nor tamed...8 feet above ground those eyes 'hovered' towards us in 3 sets of 2...silently as well. WE LEFT QUICKLY, AND LEFT EVERYTHING (2years ago)& Haven't been back there! Lolol. If you go-- STAY SAFE, don't stay after dark, bring them snacks so you don't become one!?! and don't get stranded out there! GOOD LUCK with ThaT!
Very friendly atmosphere. Not overly crowded. First time there taking on the ORV trails. Always a wave or a smile, people also stopping to ask if we were ok. Few of the trails were pretty serious, the rest of them were just fun. Had a great time and will be back.
