Sherry & Kerry are wonderful hosts! Extremely accommodating, even delivered us wood because we were arriving after hours! We’ve never been to a cleaner campground! Thanks for the hospitality!
We normally try to avoid private campgrounds because our experience hasn’t been great, but Fish Creek Campground was the exception. This place was clean, safe, quiet, beautifully kept and close to everything that Door County has to offer. The owners are friendly and attentive to every detail. The bathrooms are super clean and the laundry room was an added bonus because it was nice and reasonably priced. They had a lovely playground for the children. We were in Door County to visit Door County, so we weren’t at our campsite a lot. When we were gone, we felt as if we left our camper in am incredibly safe location. We hope to return. Thank you for a marvelous stay.
Fish Creek Campground is wonderful! We arrived on Thursday with a major trailer problem. The staff eagerly stepped in to help us and since my husband is physically challenged this was greatly appreciated. We had asked for a specific site but wouldn’t be able to use that one. They gave us a pull thru site so it was easier for the welder to fix our problem. There was no expectation for payment for all the extra work they did for us. In fact they refused anything extra. The grounds and facilities are spotless and very well maintained. It is centrally located so it’s close to everything in Door County.. We will never stay at another campground when visiting Door County.
Small tent site with little to no brush or privacy. The tent site felt like more of an afterthought, so it seems like this is meant for campers and people who stay all summer, etc. Quiet hours 10-8 but we’re not enforced and we had loud neighbors playing music and talking until 1:30 and up again at 6 slamming doors and talking. There was a child riding his bike with a muffler (why??) the whole evening and then early in the morning again which was crazy loud. Lots of yard word and projects being done which means loud beeping and lawn mowers and trucks etc. Bathrooms counters and floors were soaked but otherwise very nice and newer looking. We liked that it was nice and close to things we wanted to do but for $50 a night and little privacy or feelings of being in the outdoors, we probably won’t stay again. The families who stay here in huge groups seem to all know each other and have a lot of fun which is great, but probably wouldn’t recommend tent camping here if you’re trying to escape to the outdoors. Our backyard in Milwaukee is quieter. We did love the little store with coffee and goods, and they delivered firewood right to our campsite, and everyone working here is very nice and personable! Excellent customer service. Most of our issues were just with the guests staying.
