Great place for a getaway, Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. We saw two elks running in the woods near our cabin. It was wonderful!

When we arrived in our room, there was a bed bug "bomb" sitting in the middle of the room.

We stripped the beds and checked them for bugs but did not see any. We searched behind the pictures as well and didn't see bugs or bed bug sign.

We stayed, although I was nervous about our decision.

It was fine, and the room served its purpose. I didn't ask the manager about the bomb when we checked out because we were in a hurry.

Hopefully ita preventive measure.

This was a charming, rustic, small town lodge located near the beautiful Rio Chama river. Our room was clean, comfortable bed, everything worked and the hot water was amazing! The staff was friendly and it was an enjoyable place to stay located on the outskirts of Chama. And the fact that they are pet friendly was a big bonus!! Would definitely stay here again!

The sheets were clean and the beds pretty comfortable... but when we unlocked the door and hit the switches it was just an awful sound and no light. we had to dust the wall of major cobwebs. would have been nice to not have to slide out and plug in the fridge, right? No batteries in the smoke detector or the CO detector- we did use the gas heater in the cabin and it wasn't as sketchy as I'd feared. Janky light fixtures and fan, few outlets, brown towels. Somewhat surprisingly Chama books out so we had little choice, but it wasn't inexpensive... They didn't return calls before our trip. Not entirely awful, but Next time I'll look elsewhere.

Such a beautiful part of Northern New Mexico. The room was another story. The room was hot, the fan set on low. The bathroom ran HOT water the whole time.. a huge waste of water for one thing then the water running created a sauna effect. Sketchy people outside who seemed to be conducting some type of inappropriate, possibly illegal behavior. Because of them we didn't open the window.. it was a hot very uncomfortable nights stay. Beds were comfortable, the room was clean, plenty of clean towels, but room smelled moldy.

At check out the front desk staff knew of the problem room but did nothing to compensate us. A bit pricey for what we got. Major disappointment!
