Quemado Lake is located 16 miles south of Quemado, NM. From Quemado, take NM 32 south 14.2 miles to the Quemado Lake/NM 103 sign. At sign turn left onto NM 103 and go 4 miles to where Forest Road 13 (gravel) begins. Continue straight on FR 13 for 1 mile.
Very nice spot. Great camping spots. Hiking and other activity s are just about what ever you want. No gas powered boats only electric. Very quite.
Great Easter. They need to stick this lake and take care of the roads. Roads were in horrible horrible shape
Nice alpine lake, quiet and not too cold in the off-season. It does get pretty busy in the summer though, so make sure to get there early if you're not making a reservation on the weekend or a holiday.
Great campground! Pretty much had it to ourselves for the time we were there. Fires were to the east and north so no smoke to deal with. Lake was super low, but nonetheless great area to explore. Had elk and eagles daily to entertain us as well as a mama beat and her cub across the lake.
