About Campground

Sombra Antigua is on the site of one of the first vineyards established in New Mexico after the end of prohibition. Nestled in the Mesilla valley among the Rio Grande pecan orchards. Established in 2012 we have a tasting room with beer and wine and a small kitchen on weekends when we also have live music on our outside patio.

A good place to spend a Sunday with your better half. The wine is average. Check out their website for live music entertainment. The ambiance is good. I recommend this place.

A nice vineyard. Good wine. Went there to listen to live music and drink some wine. Had a fun time.

All the wines are spectacular! The service is unmatched. The scenery is magical. The environment is always so welcoming, with chill vibes. They have live music too. Their employee Joshua always provides wonderful service and is so knowledgeable about the wines.

This place is all that and a bag of grapes 🍇

Sombra Antigua is such a lovely place. The staff is amazing, the winery is great, the wine is amazing and such a pleasant atmosphere. There was live singing by Mrs Flores and she was absolutely amazing, she had everyone on the dancefloor getting down. We had such a wonderful time. I will definitely return and will be accompanied by more friends.

I’m in awe, I can’t believe how much the cost of a bottle of wine has gone up. $29 for a bottle that used to be $17 last year.

I normally like to recommend this place because it has a great atmosphere, live music and it’s lots of fun. We normally have about 2-3 bottles when we go. That’s gonna cost over $100 with the tip. I’m going to have to think twice before going again.
