We planned to camp inside the Gila NF but the road was closed due to fires. We grabbed a spot here, glad to have access to power and a flush toilet. Hard to say how many occupants are residents and how many are travelers. The owner was helpful and kind, and the price was great. We slept well. The location, on the Continental Divide, just can’t be beat.
Very convenient for our deer hunt. The spot had electrical hook up really good cell signal. The bathrooms were spotless. I appreciated having the option to use the laundry room as well. Ms. Mary was very sweet I ended up leaving with a snake plant! Ha! I look forward to coming back.
If you love the mountains, the peace and tranquility of nature, This is your place.!
I'm not sure about the park itself, I didn't get that far!!! The immediate interaction with the manager of the park Darren ruined the whole thing. He was extremely rude and very aggressive. I would not recommend at all. I feel sorry for the people who live there long term and having to deal with someone like that. I'll stay in the Walmart parking lot before I'd stay there.
Since new management, this RV park is moving in the right direction. The staff is nice and attentive. Best part is the location. At entrance of Gila National Park, 7 miles from town and in an old apple orchard. If it’s season the fruit is delicious. Deer come through park nightly. Beautiful drive to the dwellings and near by hot springs.
