If your a loud, obnoxious drunker looking to stay up late and party with your loud Mexican music echoing through the forest, then this is the place for you. If you like to get drunk and forget you have kids, so you leave them unattended to run ramped like Lord of the Flies and let them stay up till 2am screaming, then come here. And bring your dogs too so they can bark all night at each other and keep everyone awake even later than you did.
This is a beautiful place!!! Unfortunately people are selfish ,disrespectful creatures. We go out to the wilderness to get away from these people but they love to come here apparently.
The staff is amazing and working non stop to keep the bathrooms and camp sites clean. Unfortunately drunk humans are disgusting, filthy people who were apparently never taught to clean up after themselves.
Site rule is: no music or generators on after 10pm but no one does unless you call staff and report them. Staff is available 24/7 and will address these issues.
If your looking for a quiet getaway with family and kids, perhaps come here during the week.
Full of people described up above on weekends.
Porta-potties and trash receptacles overflowing and not cleaned one time over 3 night stay even though the fees were expensive to stay here. They charge per vehicle and per person. Overcrowded and people walking through your campsite. No security or anyone from the office walking around to check on anything. Extremely loud music and yelling all day and night. Unattended children and dogs running around. Office staff pretty unfriendly. Kept letting more people into the campground even though it was really full and we were packed in like sardines. Skunks were everywhere. I think I saw like 4 different skunks at different areas of the campground. Although they’re pretty cute and weren’t aggressive (I also understand we are in nature and in their turf but thought I’d mention it). Felt a bit unsafe here due to how chaotic it was and unregulated. I never give bad reviews but this was an exceptionally terrible camping experience. The area is beautiful though.
I had and amazing time here!! I haven't been camping in years and I fell in love with this place. Perfect weekend getaway. Bathrooms are clean just make sure you bring soap! The staff emptys out the trash cans daily. There is a lot of camping space to choose from. Just make sure you get there early morning on a Friday to get a good spot. It does get cold at night so bring loads of blankets! It does love to rain to so come prepared once again. I've read reviews from this place where people had a horrible experience because of the rain and gave this place a low rating. It is not the campgrounds fault for rain that is mother natures fault. This place takes CASH ONLY so don't forget! You will not get any signal whatsoever unless you pay 2 bucks for the wifi and even then you have to be close to the office but I'll let you in on a little secret.... You get some signal close to the lake, its more than enough to check your Facebook and send some texts or make some calls that is it! Forget about downloading or uploading anything....
Beautiful campground with beautiful scenery. The lake is small but plentiful, fishing was great and the trout is pretty tasty if you know how to cook it! The horses stop by every day in the summer months. The bathrooms and grounds are well taken care of, trash gets picked up multiple times a day! Definitely worth the money! We will be back!
**First Timer Review**
It’s been a while since my last camping trip, and this place did not disappoint at all. First I’d like to thank Ms. Reeva and Mr. Jeremiah for all their hard work, and making our trip a success. Silver lake was a huge relief from the heat in the city. Excellent weather 90% of the time. The rain we got was welcoming, and made for some very cool mornings. Fire pits aren’t hard to come by, and campfires were allowed from 6pm-10am daily. The lake is beautiful, we didn’t catch a thing, but the memories created made up for it. Definitely giving this place a 10/10.
