Small, friendly with a few amenities. In the middle of Bisby, Whitewater Draw and the Chiricahua National Moment. Tombstone too!

POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE!!

Received a call from the Desert Oasis saying that I had made a reservation there, asking why we hadn’t shown up or canceled. There are apparently 2 Desert Oasis campgrounds in Arizona. I believed I had made a reservation at the other campground with the same name, however googled the number and called the one in McNeal by accident. The representative on the phone said she knew of this issue and others had made the same error. She said she would check with administration about refunding the deposit they took from me. Shortly after that, I received an email from them saying they would not refund the deposit. Poor business practices- why would any business operate under the same name as another in the area? Shame on them for admitting the problem, yet still taking my money!!!!

I can’t say enough good things about Desert Oasis. The location is incredible, the amenities are untouched for the price you pay and the people are the best! Go stay there NOW!!!! If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

Beware if you don't use your own shower in your rig, you may have an icy cold shower. First two minutes was warm enough, setting the trap, then turned icy cold. Had to finish the shower once started and In winter this was an extremely unpleasant experience. I asked about it and was shown no concern simply that people were doing laundry so that is why there was no hot water. No indication it will be fixed. Was told instead by someone who worked there, "This is the country." As if that excused it and I should probably have expected to have problems becuse they are not in a city. They need to fix the shortage of hot water problem or at least post warning signs on the shower. Beware. I've always liked this place and in the past it seemed friendlier, but this last time they showed no concern about my terrible experience with the shower. The owners are not that friendly. The "insiders" seems a bit cliquish and the owners a little icy, but not as icy as the shower. It is like they are busy since it is winter and the snow birds have arrived so they don't need to be concerned about you or your business. I have to say though it is a very nice place as far as amenities, and they were kind by providing an extention cord that I needed. Also, there is only one campground trash can in the front that may not be easy to find, as they apparently don't want to be inconvenienced by emptying more than one can, so you can drive your trash to the one can.

A calm and relaxing campground that is less than 20 mins from Old Town Bisbee and less than 20 mins from the Whitewater Draw Wildlife area. My family and I had a hard time finding a space that would be able to accommodate our travel trailer for the weekend and the Owner James and his wife were super helpful and made us feel very welcomed. My young kids enjoyed the rec room which has tons of books, movies, games, a pool table, and ping pong table. The bathrooms and showers were clean. The entire community that is here seems like good spirited people. There is also a two mile nature walk in the area, and it's very quite at night - not too much noise from the road. We felt safe and secure. Would highly recommend this place for those visiting in the area.
