Stayed up on the Hill and love the site. It was shady and the campground is close to downtown which is very convenient. Also not far to the Amish community which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Overall I like the campground but don't care for all the staff. As a long term stay, when problems or concerns are brought to the attention of the office staff they don't always seem to take things seriously and put off the energy that they don't really care. Then you have to go find one of the owners to get different answers and real solutions. Aka chucks the to see.
Several of the long term stayers have seen the owners dumping their sewage in the back of one of their trails that butts against Plateau Road. They are rude and like to have their employees cuss and threaten little girls.... horrible people who can't even get the mail boxes figured out. I'm sorry but I do not recommend anyone stay here especially if they value their children. Because they do allow drug addicts and drug dealers on property as well. I hope this helps everyone.
Stayed on night in February during off-season.
I paid the same price as someone in the summer season. You shouldn't pay summer rates during off-season. The cost of $57 for nothing more than a place to park and hook up to power is a rip off. I could see paying that much if you had a pool or hottube or any of the things your web site says . It seems that in off season you get none of those things yet are charged as if you had them. . The heated pool was drained, the hot tube was closed.
I got none of the amenities that were listed . Pricing should reflect that. If all you offer is a parking space with power than the price should reflect that. . It's a total rip-off to say you have a heated pool ,hot tube, paddle boats, shuffle board, ect ect ect yet have none of those things. Total rip off. Don't stay there during off-season because they charge you like they are some great park with tons of amenities, yet they have nothing of the sort.
